Noamundi, October 28, 2018 : Tata Steel today organised the second edition of Noamundi run-a-thon at Sports Complex, Noamundi. This year, the
run-a-thon drew its theme from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) initiative of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The run-a-thon on the theme "Run for Biodiversity" witnessed 6209 registrations. Runners from Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar participated in the event. The Run-a-thon was held in 10 KM and 7 KM categories for men and women, 5 KM run for boys and girls under the age of 16 years from schools and colleges and 2 KM run for persons with disability (PWD). The event was inaugurated jointly by Mr Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Raw Materials), Tata Steel, Mr Arun Misra, Chairman, Tata Steel Special Economic Zone & Vice President, Gopalpur Project, Tata Steel, Mr Manish Mishra, General Manager (Ore Mines & Quarries Division), Tata Steel, Mr Kulvin Suri, Chief, Corporate Communications, India & SEA, Tata Steel and Ms Poonam Chaudhary.
